In November of 2022, the school in San Manuel that serves grades PK-12 was place in an emergency lockdown status after a report of shots fired.  Law enforcement responded and cleared the school without injury or incident.  The school was in lockdown status for several hours with all children secured in classrooms.  After the incident, teachers realized that their classrooms did not have adequate emergency equipment for the situation.  Administration of the school came to The Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke, with the hope to obtain Emergency Lockdown Kits for each of their 56 classrooms.

The Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke was successful in obtaining a matching grant from Rotary District 5500 to purchase the equipment for this project.  We purchased 56 Emergency Classroom LockDown Kits, flashlight and first aid kits for each of the classrooms in the school
