The Rotary Foundation (TRF)

The Rotary Foundation, which is the charitable service arm of Rotary International, provides help to those in need, here in the United States and internationally.  TRF helps people worldwide to rebuild their lives after disasters, it provides power and water to many thousands who need them.  It is the primary force in nearly eliminating polio, and it supports peace initiatives.  TRF supports educational and environmental issues, helps Mothers and children, and helps initiate change for local economies.
Rotary Club of Saddlebrooke has always actively supported The Rotary Foundation through the Annual Fund (Every Rotarian Every Year, or EREY) and Polio Plus.   Ninety-two cents of every dollar raised goes directly to support Rotary projects.  Recent Club projects include a Ghana water initiative and Nogales, Sonora clean drinking water for schools.  When we do larger projects such as these, other clubs and The Rotary Foundation help shoulder the load.  When we donate to TRF we support our own projects as well as those of other clubs.  That synergy is awesome.
We only have a few months left in this Rotary year to show our true colors.  Send a check made out to The Rotary Foundation to Tom Turriff, 65183 E Emerald Ridge Dr, Tucson 85739.  Or go to Rotary.org and click on DONATE.  While there, sign up for Rotary Direct and make a donation every month, automatically, by credit card.
