Each November, Rotary International General Secretary John Hewko and a team of staff members join Rotary members to cycle up to 100 miles in El Tour de Tucson to raise funds for polio eradication. The ride is one of the top cycling events in the United States and attracts more than 9,000 cyclists each year.
Registration for the 2021 Ride to End Polio will take place on the Perimeter Bicycling El Tour de Tucson Web Site. Please ensure that when you register, you indicate that you are riding for Rotary. That way, we will be able to access all of your registration information without having to perform the registration function ourselves. Here’s a link to the Perimeter registration site. HOWEVER, please also note that the company that provides the registration technology also looks to serve as a fund raising arm for the ride. The Ride to End Polio WILL NOT be using that fund raising site because they claim a portion of the funds raised, and we prefer that all monies donated go directly to our efforts to end polio. See the fund raising page for more information.
