Important reminder: This week's meeting on Thursday, 3/23, will be a field trip to the Arizona History Museum in Tucson (949 E 2nd St, Tucson, AZ 85719). Lunch is at 11 am and the meeting will be at noon. We will learn about the museum and receive a brief tour. An email with details regarding carpooling and parking will go out to those who have signed up.
Members of our club joined other community volunteers on Saturday at the SBCO Food Drive. Over 100 volunteers came together to sort and box food that will benefit the Tri Community Food Bank. Additionally over $65,000 was collected in cash donations. 
RYLA delegates Brian Mullen and Joana Cono, joined adult advisor Liese Razzeto, at our March 9 meeting to share the experiences they had at this year's Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. RYLA was held over Martin Luther Day King Weekend in Prescott.
The February 20 sorting crew included, Gordon Wainwright, Dan Watson, Leslie Hawkins, Don Terry, Elaine Terry and a Community Volunteer from Mammoth. 
After our meeting Thursday, several members finished the afternoon learning the history of our area. Thank you to our Community Service Committee who arranged the field trip to the museum.Gordon Wainwright
What an exciting time of year!
Congratulations to all of our members who are actively helping our community. We are distributing food the first Wednesday of each month in Oracle. We are also preparing bags of food for seniors, and recently packaged up baskets of essentials for Seniors at home alone, in Oracle. Also our members were helping organize games at the annual Christmas party at the Oracle Community Center. Again this year we have been collecting food for the families in Oracle who have a difficult time at Christmas. We also partnered with the Elks Club in Catalina to provide gifts for the kids in San Manuel !
We had over 20 members attend the annual Wreaths Across America in Marana. Afterwards we met with 20 other Rotarians from the Oro Valley, Marana, Dove Mountain, and Saddlebrooke Sunrise clubs.
Our annual Holiday dinner / dance a few days ago was a great success. A highlight of that evening was recognizing Jim Pfeifer as an Honorary member of our club. Jim is the last charter member of our club, and has served as President, and also helped establish our Foundation and served as President of the foundation. We look forward to Jim and his wife Pepper continuing to attend all of our functions.
Please take time to enjoy the holidays with those close to you. You all deserve a rest. Thank you for doing so well at serving our community.
